Cognizant GenC Interview Experience 2021 batch

 

Eligibility criteria: All students of 2021 Batch having 60% Throughout with up to 2 Year Gap in Education.

Round 1: Round 1 was an Aptitude round that was on the AMCAT. This round contained four sections namely.

• Quantitative Aptitude -24 questions: 35 minutes
• Logical Reasoning -25 questions: 35 minutes
• Code debugging/Automata Fix -7 questions: 20 minutes
• Essay question (1 question: 15 minutes) Essay Topic was regarding what will you do if you observe your colleague take the office data in pen drive.

Note: It was announced that the essay you are writing will be asked in a Face2face interview but it not happens.

Round 2: Based on your performance in the round 1 you are eligible for GenC Next Interview or GenC Interview, I got selected for GenC. Mostly if you can solve 5 questions correctly from the Automata Fix section out of 7 then definitely you get selected for GenC Interview as this section is of utmost weightage.

Whole Interview Process:

1. Tell me about yourself.

2. After that interviewer gave me 2 aptitude questions on chatbox and told me to solve.

3. Aptitude ques1-Shyam walked 20 m towards north. Then he turns right and walks 30 m. Then he turns right and walks 35 m. Then he turns left and walks 15 m. Finally he turns left and walks 15 m straight. In which direction and how many metres is he from the starting position?

4. Aptitude ques2- If today is Monday what will be the day after 61days?

5. After that, he asked me about my projects from my resume as I have done my projects in Android.

6. The interviewer asked me the questions of routing algorithms in computer networks .but this was the different thing that occurred with me because mostly fundamental programming and data structures questions asked with my batchmates. I did not answer all of the questions related to computer networks as I was not prepared.

7. what is IoT? how do we use iot in irrigation?

8. what is array?.

9. what is data type?

10. what are joins in DBMS?

11. SQL query on joins?.

12. After that, he asked me any question from your end?

13. Are you comfortable with relocation?

 I answered 70% of the interview questions.

After one month I get the news that I am selected for  Cognizant
