Polestar Interview Experience 2021 Batch

 Eligibility Criteria:

• Branches: IT, CS, ECE, EEE, Mechanical
• 70% marks in 10th & 12th standard
• At least 60% in graduation

2 year bond with 2 lac amount.

CTC: 4,65,000 INR (Fixed salary - 3,50,000 INR; Variable - 35,000 INR ; ESOP – 50,000 INR;

Retention Bonus – 24,000 INR; Insurance - 6,000 INR)

Round 1:

 Round 1 is an Aptitude round that was on the vega-hr platform. This platform is not video-proctored.

This round consists of quantitative and logical reasoning questions only not consists verbal ability questions.

There were 30 questions which you have to complete in 30 minutes.

Round 2:

This round was a face2face round which held on ms-teams.

Whole Interview Process:

1. Tell me about yourself which you have not mentioned in your resume.
2. After that he asked me about my android projects from my resume.
3. Also, asked which programming languages do u know? I told the interviewer about c,c++, java. he said these languages definitely were in your curriculum. Tell me which additional programming languages have u learned?
4. Then the interviewer gave me 3 puzzles I was able to solve only 2 puzzles.

    puzzle1:

  There are eight balls. Seven of them weigh the same but one of them has a different weight (heavier ). In how many minimum weighs you will find the heavier ball.?

    puzzle2:

  There is a room with a door closed. outside the room, there are three switches connected to bulbs. you may switch them on or off as many times as you want. Once you open the door you can't change them. identify each switch with its bulb.

    puzzle3:

 This puzzle was related to playing cards, sorry but I do not remember this question. as I did not answer because I have not got the question properly.

  5. Interviewer asked 3 SQL queries on joins and nested queries. The interviewer shared the screen and showed me the demo tables on which I had to write SQL queries. Also asked SQL query in which group by clause used.

Note: (1). The interviewer was very friendly, which made the interview process very good. I answered almost every question except one puzzle.

(2). A separate Hr round was not conducted by polestar.
